DJ/PRODUCER/SONGWRITER/SINGER, performs in various nightclubs in Montreal, like: Sky, Club Tools, Bain Mathieu and other events.
Born in Amqui (Quebec, Canada), Mario Leonard at an early age is passionate for artists like James Brown, Aretha Franklin, Donna Summer, Giorgio Moroder, Diane Dufresne and Luc Plamondon.

At 14, he became a member of a Drum Corps (Les Arcs-en-ciel) Montreal-Nord, where he learned the basics of percussion.
At 18, he started his own band (High Voltage), for which he was lead singer : with his band, he made the bar scene of Quebec for 2 years.
After a few years working for the Government, he decided to come back to his old love, music, and got a first contract as DJ in 1990 at 'Fuzzy Nightclub'; he finally became DJ resident at 'La Track' from 1991 to 2001.
In fact, it was at this bar 'La Track' that this DJ worked for more 500 Wednesdays, on the theme night 'Woolco Nights' at the Bourbon's Complex. It was a huge success!

At the end of 2004, he won a contest at 'MusiquePlus' : 'Fais spinner Yann Perreault' with the title song : 'La chair, les animaux' by Yann Perreault, (Mario Leonard Radio Remix).
For the next year,he had the chance to spin at Park Emilie-Gamelin for "Divers/Cité" just before Samantha Fox's show.
It was also the first time that Mario had the opportunity to tested his first House Remix, a song called : "Chain of fools" (Mario Leonard Remix) popularized by Aretha Franklin.
In 2006 he collaborated for the first time with the recording artist Carol Jiani for two new remixes. "The woman in me" and "Hit'n run lover",two Big Hits in the 80s.

During the year 2008, this DJ/Producer did ten remixes including two Disco Classics :"Let the night take the blame feat. Lorraine McKane and "Disco inferno" feat. The Trammps & Mario Leonard on vocals.
The same year two remixes were released : I'm calling feat. Luisa Pepe (Mario Leonard Remix) on La Chapelle Records and "Superstar (Mario Leonard Club Mix)" from Dirty Taz (C.D).
In the fall 2008 Mario produced the remix of the song :"Maybe God is trying to tell you something» feat. Jeanie Tracy & Pepper Mashay.
The remix was created specially for the event of Palm Spring and will be released by the Record compagny "Sweet Feet Music".

The year 2009 started in a good way with the remix of "Are you man enough" feat. Carol Jiani & Evelyn Thomas who popularized the Mega Hit :" High Energy" in the 80s.
This remix is on sale by "House Nation" (label) in Germany, England and also at www.dancestreet.com
Recently Mario produced a remix for the Record compagny "Night Dance Records" (Sweden) the title of the song is "Fighting fire with fire" and wil be released in June 2009 in several European countries.

For the last 5 years, Mario has writing his own material and remixes, his ultimate dream is to produce his own C.D.
